Let’s break it down like this…

2435 - Widows and orphans directly supported by IOP (June 2014, in 737 households)

500 - Hot lunches provided each week day to IOP children, though our daily lunch kitchen.

13 - Permanent staff working at IOP. This breaks down to 187 IOP orphans per staff member.

26 - Pre-schools at which we provide support through the IOP Early Childhood Development programme.

208 - Monthly food parcels handed to our most vulnerable families, each month.

R240 000 - ZA Rands it costs to run the operation on a monthly basis. This number is wholly reliant on donations.

490 - School uniforms handed to IOP orphans in January of 2014

120 - Community church services hosted by IOP during 2013/to date 2014

204 - Pairs of new school shoes provided to our orphans in January 2014. (We also distributed 100 donated pairs).

1700 - School supply stationary packs handed to IOP orphans in January 2014.

900 - Litres of fuel used (on average) per month to service our orphans, widows and projects, at a cost of around R12 500).

1200 - Square kilometres in our catchment area.

3800 - Orphans and widows who attended our annual Christmas party (over two days) in December 2013.

4000 - Toys handed to orphans during 2013.

Obviously, this is just the tip of the iceberg. On request, we are able to provide our full annual budget, as well as the breakdown of the various building and development projects we are undertaking at any given time.

Our Vision
